Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 15ARH7 82SB0001US, which is part of Lenovo’s budget gaming laptop segment, was one of Lenovo’s first laptops to feature AMD Zen3+ H-series processors. This particular SKU is powered by the 6 Core/ 12 Thread processor the AMD Ryzen 5 6600H and Nvidia RTX 3050. Other key specs include 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD and a 15.6 Inch FHD (1920 x 1080) 120 Hz display. In terms of price-to-performance ratio, this particular laptop does not shine out when you compared it to other 15-inch models out there in the market like HP Victus or Asus Tuf Dash 15.

However, the chassis is steadier compared to other gaming laptops by HP and MSI in this price range. It does attract a lot of fingerprints due to its matte surface.The lid opens up to 150 degrees, however, keeping it open at that angle over a long time might result in problems with the hinge. The laptop weighs around 2.315 KG with the top and the bottom of the laptop are made of Polycarbonated/acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, and it comes with baby blue lights grills on the newly added rear side which makes it distributable from other laptops

KEYBOARD AND TRACKPAD

Compared to the previous 2020 model, Lenovo has changed the color of letters from light blue to white but apart from that and has slightly bigger arrow keys. the Keyboard has mostly a similar feeling to the 2020 model even after all those changes in the chassis. When it comes to the trackpad, It is not the best out there, although larger in size compared to other laptops. The trackpad can get sticky which might not give the user a comfortable experience.

PORTS

The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 2022 ‎82SB0001US does not come with a thunderbolt port and does not support Thunderbolt connectivity unlike other laptops in this price range. When it comes to the positioning of ports, there are no ports in front, 1 USB-A 3.2 Gen1 on the right side, 1 USB-A 3.2 Gen1, and a 3.5mm headset jack. On the back, you have HDMI 2.0, for Ethernet Gigabit RJ-45, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 with power delivery 3.0 which supports Display port 1.4, and an AC adapter.

Upgradability

When it comes to upgrading your laptop’s RAM, You have 2 SO-DIMM DDR5 up to 4800MHz slots out of which one is already occupied. In storage, the system can support 2 PCIe4 x4 SSDs, so you have an option to add 1 more M.2 2242 or 2280 SSD. Keep in my mind that the laptop is pretty hard to open with lots of screws on the back panels.
